In January, everyone is invited to join together for a large group learning experience ‘focused on’ United Methodism. Whether people have a long history of being in the United Methodist Church, or are newcomers to our particular denomination, it is a good thing to ground ourselves in the distinctiveness of Wesleyan theology and practice. For the four Sundays in January we’ll learn about and discuss the United Methodist understanding of salvation and grace, our theology and practice of the sacraments, the way we read scripture through the lenses of tradition, reason and experience, and the role of social holiness in the United Methodist movement.
