Meet Pam Phinney

    Feb 2, 2023 |

I was born into a Methodist parsonage and have been active in this denomination ever since.
As a PK (preacher’s kid), I grew up surrounded by the outward aspects of the Wesleyan way, including mission outreach, Bible study, worship, and prayer.  These practices helped me in my faith journey and it became important to me to share with others information about the doctrines, creeds, and practices that we as United Methodist believe.

I took courses and became a Lay Servant then a Lay Speaker (Certified Lay Pulpit Supply) eventually becoming the District Director of Lay Servant Ministries (LSM).  After two years, I became the Conference Director of LSM.  Continuing education about all areas of United Methodism for the laity is a priority of LSM and I taught over 125 classes across our Central Texas Conference for the 8 years I served in these positions.  Now I enjoy teaching Sunday School classes each month and even filling the occasional pulpit as needed. I love sharing about my faith!
