Quarterly Magazine

Following Jesus, Changing Lives

Fall 2013

Believing we can change the world one story at a time!

This issue of Connect features stories from our church family on how God is changing lives through FUMC Hurst.

Resurrection Stories
Lent 2014

“Without resurrection there is no good reason to suppose that you can live beyond your tears. But with the resurrection having taken place, you can weep in the hope that God can lead you beyond your tears toward new beginnings. Without this good news, life makes no sense at all.”Questions God Asks Us, Trevor Hudson, P. 120)

What you will read in the following pages is a variety of ways that people have experienced Holy Week in their own lives. These stories tell the everyday story of resurrection.

Summer of Missions
Summer 2014

Summer is here and the opportunities await! This issue of Connect focuses on our missions and ministries. There is a lot going on at FUMC Hurst and it's up to all of us to keep telling the story of the many ways God is growing us.

Connect Stewardship Fall 2014

Following Jesus.
Changing the World,
One Life at a Time.
Stewardship 2014

Every year, we engage in a giving campaign aimed at the next year's mission and ministry. What we believe goes much deeper than words. What we believe is revealed in our actions. Our giviing speaks a word about what we believe. The giving campaign simply asks us to refelct on what we believe and invites us to respond with a commitment for the coming year.
