The FUMC Hurst Blog will give all who read it a glimpse into the ways our ministries are impacting the lives of individuals in our congregation, our community, and our world. At the same time, this will be a place where our contributors will share their thoughts and feelings on current events around the world and in our own backyard.

The Commission on a Way Forward has concluded their work and it will be presented at a Called General Conference on February 23 - 26, 2019. It is important for all of us at FUMC Hurst to know that what’s at stake is the denomination’s view of same-sex marriage and the ordination of LGBTQ persons.

Stock the Pantry

Mission Central serves over 400 HEB families each month. Pick up a bag and list at the Welcome Center and see how your family can help. Filled bags can be returned to the Welcome Center. 

Mobile Food Pantry

Mission Central and FUMC Hurst, in partnership with Tarrant Area Food Bank, host a mobile food pantry the second Friday of each month. Contact Catherine Hollis to volunteer.

2019-2020 Day School Registration

Registration will open to current Day School families and FUMC Hurst members on Monday, March 4. Day School offers programs for children ages two months through five years. If you register by March 25 you will receive $10 off of the $100 registration fee. Registration includes a Day School t-shirt.
