The FUMC Hurst Blog will give all who read it a glimpse into the ways our ministries are impacting the lives of individuals in our congregation, our community, and our world. At the same time, this will be a place where our contributors will share their thoughts and feelings on current events around the world and in our own backyard.   

The First United Methodist of Hurst Connect News is published monthly and is available for download. Submissions for the Connect are welcome. Include contact name and daytime phone number with submissions. Lent 2018 - Tuesday Night Dinners and Companion Groups

Tuesdays during Lent through March 20, Fellowship Hall
5-6 p.m. (donations gratefully accepted)

Following the meal adults will participate in small groups. Youth small groups will meet in Anderson Center. Children activities will meet in the Covenant Courtyard. All groups will conclude at 7:45 p.m. Childcare is available for children ages 4 and younger (please register in advance).

For those who cannot attend, Rev. Rhodes' talks will be available for viewing online and discussion groups will be offered at other times during the week.

Reservations for dinner and childcare must be made EACH WEEK online or at the Welcome Center.

Help Your Neighbors and Stock the Village Pantry

In 2017, Mission Central served an average of 436 HEB families each month. Pick up a bag and list at the Welcome Center and see how your family can help. Filled bags can be returned the following Sunday to the Welcome Center. 

Mobile Food Pantry

Friday, March 10, 8 a.m.-noon (distribution 9-11 a.m.)

Mission Central and FUMC Hurst, in partnership with Tarrant Area Food Bank, host a mobile food pantry the second Friday of each month. Contact Catherine Hollis to volunteer.

Panel Discussion: Keeping Kids and Youth Connected to God and Church

Facilitated by Rev. Philip Rhodes. A panel of parents at varying stages of the journey will share their stories. Parents with children of all ages are encouraged to attend.
