Wesley Building

On September 17, 2000, First United Methodist Church of Hurst celebrated the Grand Opening of our building expansion of 37,300 sq. ft., giving us additional classrooms, a fellowship hall that will seat 600-900 people where we have all church functions, and the renovation of our existing buildings. This expansion has allowed us to broaden our ministries, providing additional programming for spiritual nurturing and increasing our support  to mission, both here an abroad.

These are very important and exciting times as First United Methodist Church of Hurst experiences dynamic growth in all aspects of ministries which touch close to home and far beyond our church.  First United Methodist Church of Hurst represents a rich legacy of mission and outreach that has spanned over 135 years.  We continue to be blessed with a congregation that is spiritually alive and growing, with a sincere commitment to always look toward the future with hope. Our current membership is 4,515 (as of June 2005).
