Sunday Schedule

Imagine your child going to Sunday School and becoming completely immersed in the biblical story. Maybe she will enter the Covenant Courtyard to hear the story presented in the Tent of Meeting and then participate in a cooking activity that helps tie the story together. Perhaps he will go into Good News Productions and create and record a news report to inform others of the story. Or maybe she will go into The Carpenter’s Workshop and create a special piece of artwork to show her interpretation of the story. Can you imagine the excitement and creativity that would be experienced? Can you realize the depth in which our children might learn the stories of our faith?

In Testament Travels, children in grades 1-5 will spend 4-6 weeks diving into a biblical story in a variety of ways. Each week each class meets with two shepherds who will be responsible for getting to know the children and building relationships with them. From there they will rotate to one of six rooms which will be led by short-term workshop leaders. One week they may be in the Cinema on the Mount, complete with movie seats and popcorn, watching a brief movie clip and then entering into a discussion and Bible study. The next they may move into the Covenant Courtyard for storytelling, cooking, or a science activity. The next week they might go into the Circuit Riders computer lab and create a newsletter to share the story with others. The possibilities are endless and incredibly exciting! With Testament Travels, our children will know the stories of Jesus and will experience them in a variety of ways, following recent brain research and Multiple Intelligence Theory.
