Q:
How do I choose an adult Sunday School class?
A:
It is very helpful to begin by selecting the classes that
best fit your age range. Please know that these ranges are not
exclusive, but are meant as a guide. Many of our classes have
members who are above or below the listed age range.
Q:
I found three or four classes that could be a good fit. Which
one should I visit?
A:
You might begin by selecting a class that is large enough or
small enough for you to feel comfortable. You might also consider
the type of lessons offered and the format of the lessons. Then.
simply pick one and visit!
Q:
I enjoyed/did not enjoy the class I visited last week. Now
what?
A:
The Christian Formation Committee recommends that you visit
several classes before you choose one to join. We also recommend
that you visit a class three times to get a real idea about whether
or not this is the class for you. Make an effort to attend a class
social as well. This will give you an opportunity to meet class
members in a more relaxed setting where you will have time to get to
know one another better.
Q:
I was warmly welcomed in the class I visited, but I'm not
ready to join. Is this okay?
A:
Absolutely! Please tell the class members that you are not
ready to become a member of the class officially and would like to
visit for a while longer.
Q:
I've found the class for me! How do I join?
A:
Simply tell the class president or secretary that you wish to
join. They will notify the church office and add you to the roster.
