Encore! Adults Age 60+

This vital group provides a wonderful foundation for many ministries of the church in mission, outreach, music, administrative leadership, welcoming, and Christian formation. Encore! is directed by a council comprised of representatives from Sunday School classes and other areas of ministry within the church.

Sunday School

Six Sunday morning classes represent this age group: Harmony, Genesis, Christian Homebuilders, Questers, Searching Together, and Wesley Bible Class. Click here for detailed information on these classes.

Regular Fellowship Opportunities

Encore! enjoys monthly 3rd Wednesday Fun and Fellowship, beginning with games at 10:00 a.m. in W104-106 and concluding with lunch at noon. If you enjoy Mexican Train or Bridge, 2nd Thursday Adult Game night (in the Parlor, 7:00 p.m.) is for you!

Monthly outings and day trips are planned for those who enjoy travel and adventure. In 2005, we traveled to the Dallas Arboretum for "Dallas Blooms - Proud as a Peacock" in March and the Antique Rose Emporium and Blue Bell Creamery in Brenham, Texas, in April.

Music Opportunities

Saints Alive! Choir will be celebrating its 20th year of providing music for worship and special events. Membership is open to all those who enjoy music, singing, and fellowship. Brenda Whitley directs this fun-loving group, which is accompanied by Dong-ill Shin, Organist/Music Associate. Saints Alive! meets Wednesday mornings from 9:00-10:00 a.m. from September through May, in the Choir Room located in the Isham Building
