Ministry with Children and Their Families

We are honored to have the opportunity to serve you and your family. Our congregation is a church family, and you will find folks of all ages engaged in the various activities and opportunities designed to help children and their families grow spiritually, intellectually, and emotionally as disciples of Jesus Christ.

With each baptism we promise to help teach each child the stories of Jesus so that his story may become their story. At FUMC Hurst we take this promise seriously.  We welcome all kinds of families, traditional and non-traditional. We enjoy the diversity of various cultures, races, religious backgrounds, and family groupings: one parent, two parents, grandparents raising
grandchildren, children added to your family through birth or through adoption, and more.

FUMC Hurst is committed to protecting children, youth, and vulnerable adults whenever they are participating in our programs. All employees and volunteers have undergone background checks and have completed Safe Sanctuaries training.
