Men@Work
Men@Work is a group of men from FUMC Hurst who will come in pairs to your home at your request to help with small jobs around the house. (You pay for supplies and materials.) Guys can change light bulbs, trim shrubs, help with computers, move heavy items, perform minor home repairs, and more. If you need help, or if you would like to serve with Men@Work, call the church office, 817.282.7384, x41.

Caring Friends
Caring Friends is an important visitation ministry of our church to members who can no longer attend church due to health or mobility issues. Caring Friends keep in touch by visit their home-centered friends, making phone calls and sending greeting cards. Prayer Ministry
Prayer is the needful practice of all peoples and the exercise of faith and hope. Faith Community Nursing
Faith Community Nursing, also known as Parish or Congregational Nursing, seeks to intentionally integrate the practice of faith with the practice of nursing.  Nurses who volunteer their time for this ministry do not practice medicine on site, but help to plan and carry out educational and preventive activities. Joyful Creations Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer Shawls are available for those in the midst of a life struggle, such as the loss of a loved one or an illness. If you know someone who is in need of a prayer shawl (they do not have to be a member of FUMC Hurst) or if you would like to participate in this ministry that meets Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in the Bride’s Room (Wesley 120), contact Eileen Thrash at 817.282.2424 or Cindy Ware at 817.284.9720.

Grocery Ministry
The Grocery Ministry is weekly shopping and delivery for residents at Parkwood Retirement Community. Both shoppers and recipients enjoy the connections made through the visits. Lists are received by Friday and deliveries are made on Saturday, although this is highly flexible to accommodate busy weekend schedules. Extending the Table: Home-Centered Communion Ministry
This ministry is an extension of the shared Communion Table.  The consecrated elements are taken by servers to those who are no longer able to be present due to physical limitations.  If you are interested in participating in this ministry or if you know of someone who is home-centered and who would like to receive communion, contact Cathy Cartmill at 817-282-7384(x22) or ccartmill@fumchurst.org.
