Christmas Poinsettias

Every Christmas the Sanctuary is filled with beautiful poinsettias in honor and memory of those we love. Order your poinsettia online through Sunday, December 2 for $15 per plant. You will be able to take the poinsettia home with you after Christmas Eve services.

The Music Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Hurst presents your favorite Christmas music with choir, handbells, and full professional orchestra.

Invite your friends, family, and neighbors to listen to the great music of the Christmas season! Ticket are suggested, but not required. 

A Service of Peace: Dec. 16

A non traditional service for those who are stressed, lonely, hurting or grieving.  A Service of Peace is a time to acknowledge our broken hearts; a time of quiet reflection, prayer and Holy Communion. Join us for a different kind of service, of comfort, of hope, of peace. Childcare available.

Early Christmas Eve Service: Dec. 19

7 p.m. • Sanctuary

Do you work on Christmas Eve or will you be out of town? This service is especially for those who are unable to attend worship on Christmas Eve. Please join us for all the traditional elements of Christmas Eve: Carols, Candlelight and Communion.

Las Posadas: Dec. 22

4:30-6:30 p.m. • Gather at the Wesley Building

Join Mary and Joseph on a journey (about one half mile) and search for posada  — a place for the Christ child to be born. The journey will conclude with worship, followed by a fiesta with traditional foods and a piñata for children!

A Gift of Music presented by Isaac Foreman

Isaac will  present a recital of beautiful organ music at 9:15 p.m. before the  10 p.m. Christmas Eve service. Come enjoy the beauty of the music as you make preparation to worship the Lord this Christmas Eve.

This service, especially for children and their families, features a re-enactment of the Christmas story told through music and drama. Childcare available for young children.

Worship the Savior of the world! Traditional services, featuring carols, candles, and communion. Childcare available at noon and 6 p.m.
