Serin came to Day School as the Director in August 2010. An Irving native, she’s a University of Texas at Austin graduate with a BS in Education, a certificate in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, a Kindergarten endorsement, and certificates in Special Education and English as a Second Language. She has taught kindergarten through third grade in elementary schools in Grand Prairie and HEB ISD for 10 years, and preschool for 10 years.  She founded, managed, and taught at Sprouts Preschool for eight years.

 Serin is a member of FUMC Grapevine and has attended the Heritage Campus for 15 years, where she has taught Sunday School and was Director, Co­­-director, or Master of Ceremonies of VBS for many years. 

Her daughter, Meagan, and son, Marshall, attend Keller schools. Serin enjoys Mexican food and time with her family. Her favorite book when she was a child was Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree. To relax, Serin likes to go on long walks and visit with friends and family!
