Greg has served as the Director of Music at First Christian Church of Amarillo, Assistant Choral Director at Amarillo High School, and the Music Director of the Amarillo Boy Choir. Greg currently serves as Vice President of the Church Division of Texas Choral Directors Association. Greg joined the staff of FUMC Hurst in February 2003 and is a deacon in the United Methodist Church.

A native Texan, Greg is originally from Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1984 and went to Arizona State University, where he received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance (1988). He continued his studies at the University of Cincinnati College–Conservatory of Music and received a Master of Music in Vocal Performance (1991). Greg is a member of Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA), Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA), and American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).

Greg is an avid runner, fisherman, and skier, and taught skiing (briefly) at Breckenridge Ski School. His wife Sessalie  serves as the Children's Music Coordinator at FUMC Hurst and teaches elementary music at Heritage Elementary School in the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD. They have been married for 22 years and have three children.
